::Our family of 4- including two noisy young children - spent 6 nights in Darko's apartment in June, and. I can't think of a better way of enjoying Dubrovnik than this. The apartment is located up stairs and separate to Darko's family, but we were able to come down, get information, chill on their balcony and chat with the family any time we wished. Usually our chats would be lubricated with a schnapps, a glass of red, or a taste of traditional Croatian cuisine. Darko and his brother would also take great pleasure in pointing out the highlights (and challenges) of Dubrovnik, point us towards the decent restaurants in Dubrovnik s otherwise overpriced, indifferent and tourism oriented culinary black hole. ( thanks also to Gils - the exception to that rule) The apartment itself was fine. Fantastically located in the harbour of the old town, nothing was more than a few minutes walk. Two bedrooms, two showers a spacious living area and a kitchen. You even find a small supermarket a few squares away. Thanks for Darko's family for making Dubrovnik good for us, their tolerance towards our noisy children and being to laments to my six year old's demands that he load up his favourite iPhone games onto Darko's iPhone.
