::Walking (or driving) up gives you a beautiful view of Pula and the sea. In the evening it's even better, as the sky has all sorts of colors. You can walk around and see the (not restored?) ruins, but beware that there might be a lot of dirt laying around as well. Seems to be a common place for teenagers to hang out in groups and leave their trash.

::In the 17th century in Pula famous French architect Antoine de Ville designed the new Venetian project Fortess Kaštel. The main objective was to make a fortress around the center of Pula, and on top of a hill is the place where the Venetian castle is situated. The stone from large Roman theater was used for its construction, along with the one from other quarries around Pula. It’s interesting that the fortress was perfect for the first defense of the city, bay and port and today is the Historical and Maritime Museum of Istria. In front of the fortress you will see old abandoned canons it’s ideal prop to make a good photo. The fortress offers a magnificent view of the city of Pula and the city’s bay.
